一般來(lái)說(shuō)，美國(guó)大學(xué)有三種錄取方式，即ED(Early Decision具有約束力的提前錄取)，EA (Early Action不具約束力的提前錄取)和RD(Regular Decision常規(guī)錄取)。前兩個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單來(lái)說(shuō)就是提前批次錄取，最后一個(gè)是常規(guī)批次錄取。
1.EA早期行動(dòng)
英文是Early Action，簡(jiǎn)稱為EA。權(quán)威的英語(yǔ)解釋是這樣說(shuō)的:Early action is another type of early amission process for amission to colleges an universities in the Unite States.Unlike the regular amissions process, early action usually requires stuents to submit an application by November 1 of their senior year of high school instea of January 1.Stuents are notifie of the school's ecision by mi-December instea of April 1. There are two types of early action programs: restrictive early action an non-restrictiveearly action. Restrictive EA allows caniates to apply to only one early action institution an to no institutions early ecision, while, as the name implies, there are no suchrestrictions on non-restrictive early action. Regarless, the applicant is still permitte to reject any offer of amission in both types of early action.
申請(qǐng)人必須在11月前提前提交申請(qǐng)，大多數(shù)學(xué)校EA申報(bào)截止日期為11月1日， 少數(shù)是10月30日或11月30日或其他日期。EA發(fā)布申請(qǐng)結(jié)果的時(shí)間一般在12月15日左右。ED不同的是，EA可以申請(qǐng)多所大學(xué)，一旦被錄取，申請(qǐng)人可以根據(jù)自己的意愿選擇是否入學(xué)。
EA的變種：
SCEA(Single Choice Early Action)是早期行動(dòng)的單一選擇。EA基本相同，唯一不同的是，SCEA只能申請(qǐng)一所大學(xué)。
REA是Restrictive Early Action簡(jiǎn)稱翻譯為限制性提前行動(dòng)。
無(wú)論是SCEA還是REA，所有申請(qǐng)學(xué)生的人EA提前申請(qǐng)有一定的條件限制，但錄取結(jié)果不具有約束力。 不同的是，和REA相比，SCEA招生政策的限制要嚴(yán)格得多：學(xué)生正在申請(qǐng)一所學(xué)校SCEA在招生政策大學(xué)時(shí)，應(yīng)與大學(xué)簽訂承諾協(xié)議，以確保其他美國(guó)大學(xué)沒(méi)有同時(shí)進(jìn)行ED和EA的申請(qǐng)。而實(shí)行REA招生政策的大學(xué)一般只要求學(xué)生申請(qǐng)大學(xué)REA不得申請(qǐng)任何其他大學(xué)ED，但允許學(xué)生隨意申請(qǐng)其他大學(xué)EA。
2.ED早期決定
英文是Early Decision，簡(jiǎn)稱為ED。權(quán)威的英語(yǔ)解釋是這樣說(shuō)的:Early Decision is a type of early amission process for amission to colleges an universities in the Unite States. Stuents are notifie of the school's ecision by mi-December instea of April 1.Early ecision is a bining commitment an if accepte, you must atten that school.This is not recommene unless you absolutely know for sure that this will be your first choice school.
申請(qǐng)人必須在11月前提前提交申請(qǐng)，大多數(shù)學(xué)校ED11月1日， 少數(shù)也有10月30日、11月30日或其他日期。ED只能申請(qǐng)一所大學(xué)！ 學(xué)校與學(xué)生會(huì)簽訂協(xié)議：Early Decision Agreement(需要學(xué)生，學(xué)生家長(zhǎng)，school counselor三方簽名)。 協(xié)議的一般內(nèi)容是：只有一個(gè)正在進(jìn)行中ED不能同時(shí)申請(qǐng)兩個(gè)申請(qǐng)ED的學(xué)校。 如果學(xué)校錄取學(xué)生，其他學(xué)校的申請(qǐng)將被撤銷。即使以前有其他學(xué)校，他們也必須來(lái)學(xué)校。ED發(fā)布申請(qǐng)結(jié)果的時(shí)間一般在12月15日左右。
3. RD正常批次
英文是Regular Decision，簡(jiǎn)稱RD。申請(qǐng)人必須在學(xué)校要求的申請(qǐng)截止日期前提交申請(qǐng)，大多數(shù)學(xué)校RD申報(bào)截止日期為次年1月1日，少數(shù)為1月15日或2月1日。一般可在4月1日前后收到錄取通知書。可以申請(qǐng)多所大學(xué)，一旦被錄取，申請(qǐng)人可以根據(jù)自己的意愿選擇最喜歡的大學(xué)，有些學(xué)校沒(méi)有提前批和正常批，申請(qǐng)截止日期只有一個(gè)，如加州系統(tǒng)大學(xué)，申請(qǐng)截止日期為11月30日，華盛頓大學(xué)截止日期為12月1日。
