幾乎每個(gè)準(zhǔn)備申請(qǐng)英國(guó)留學(xué)的中國(guó)學(xué)生都知道，申請(qǐng)英國(guó)留學(xué)必須提供雅思考試成績(jī)。但是并不是所有學(xué)生申請(qǐng)英國(guó)留學(xué)都要提供語(yǔ)言成績(jī)。留學(xué)小編介紹，以下幾類學(xué)生申請(qǐng)英國(guó)留學(xué)就不需要提供雅思考試成績(jī)。

1.母語(yǔ)是英語(yǔ)

如果申請(qǐng)者是英語(yǔ)國(guó)家的公民或者永久性居民，語(yǔ)言考試要求一般可以免除。英語(yǔ)國(guó)家一般是指英語(yǔ)是官方語(yǔ)言的國(guó)家，一般包括英國(guó)，美國(guó)，愛(ài)爾蘭，澳大利亞，新西蘭，加拿大（魁北克省除外）等。需要注意一下，香港，新加坡，菲律賓雖然官方語(yǔ)言中有英文，但來(lái)自這些國(guó)家或地區(qū)的申請(qǐng)者一般是無(wú)法免除語(yǔ)言要求的。

英國(guó)內(nèi)政部規(guī)定的majority native-English speaking countries名單如下：

2. 本科階段是在英語(yǔ)國(guó)家就讀并最終獲得了學(xué)士學(xué)位

申請(qǐng)者如果是在英語(yǔ)國(guó)家完成并獲得bachelor degree，那么可以不用提供語(yǔ)言考試成績(jī)。如果本科是在非英語(yǔ)國(guó)家完成，碩士是在英語(yǔ)國(guó)家完成，這種情況一般是可以免除語(yǔ)言要求的，但需要和學(xué)校確定是否可以免除語(yǔ)言要求。密歇根州立大學(xué)安娜堡分校關(guān)于這點(diǎn)的要求如下：

If you completed a Master‘s degree that was strictly research and no academic classes， that degree does not meet the exemption. This type of Master’s degree is generally awarded at a non-U.S. institution.

3.中外合作辦學(xué)項(xiàng)目獲得國(guó)外學(xué)位證書

國(guó)內(nèi)有很多中外辦學(xué)的學(xué)校或?qū)W院，例如寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)，北京外國(guó)語(yǔ)大學(xué)2+2留學(xué)等，就讀于這些學(xué)校或?qū)W院的學(xué)生在畢業(yè)的時(shí)候會(huì)獲得兩個(gè)學(xué)位證書，這些學(xué)生申請(qǐng)的時(shí)候能否免語(yǔ)言需要看申請(qǐng)學(xué)校的要求。一般來(lái)說(shuō)，很多學(xué)校會(huì)有一些限制條件，比如UCL要求申請(qǐng)者在入學(xué)前的兩年內(nèi)，在英語(yǔ)國(guó)家完成了至少1年的學(xué)業(yè)，學(xué)生提供相應(yīng)的成績(jī)單，這種情況是符合免除語(yǔ)言要求的條件的。

completed a minimum of twelve months education in a country that UCL considers to be ‘majority English speaking’， no more than the summer two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment；

也有學(xué)校會(huì)要求在英語(yǔ)國(guó)家完成了至少2年的學(xué)業(yè)才可以申請(qǐng)免語(yǔ)言。

比如UIUC就是這樣要求的：

Completion of at least two years of post-secondary full-time study， as defined by the home institution， in a country where English is the primary language and at an institution where English is the primary medium of instruction， within five years of the proposed term of initial enrollment at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

如果學(xué)生本科都是在國(guó)內(nèi)讀的，最后拿到了中外兩個(gè)學(xué)位證書，這種情況一般是不可以免除語(yǔ)言要求的，但具體還需要和申請(qǐng)學(xué)校進(jìn)一步確定。

4.在英語(yǔ)國(guó)家有2年以上的專業(yè)相關(guān)工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)

有一些學(xué)校會(huì)對(duì)在英語(yǔ)國(guó)家有2年以上工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)的申請(qǐng)者提供語(yǔ)言豁免，但需要提供相關(guān)證明，比如公司領(lǐng)導(dǎo)出的推薦信或者公司出的證明文件。新南的要求如下：

Directly relevant work experience for at least the last 2 years

You must have participated in directly relevant work experience （or equivalent discipline practice） using English. This indicates that you have been immersed in the language conventions， vocabulary and practices of the discipline， which are not tested by the English language proficiency tests listed in the table above， but should serve as appropriate preparation if admitted to study at UNSW.

You will be required to submit a letter from your employer on company letterhead， which states：

The position title

The duties undertaken

The level of English spoken i.e. how was English used （written， verbal etc） and to what level was English used

UIUC的要求如下：

Completion of at least two years of professional work experience in a country where English is the primary language within five years of the proposed term of initial enrollment at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

符合以上要求的學(xué)生，在申請(qǐng)的時(shí)候可以和學(xué)校核對(duì)一下是否符合免語(yǔ)言的要求。也有學(xué)校對(duì)語(yǔ)言要求非常嚴(yán)格，比如Duke University，就要求如果母語(yǔ)不是英文，就必須提供標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化考試的成績(jī)。

If your first language is not English， you must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language （TOEFL） or the International English Language Testing System （IELTS） test.
