音樂學(xué)院總體來說申請截止日期比較早，一般11月就開始了。University of Michigan早一些，在11月1日，其它的如Juilliard School是12月1日，Curtis Institute是12月15日，San Francisco是12月15日，Manhattan School of Music同樣也是12月1日，等等。所以申請工作的準(zhǔn)備，要提前做。
托福：一般需要提供，總體來說IBT80分是直接入讀大學(xué)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。成績不達(dá)標(biāo)的可以選擇提供雙錄取的大學(xué)。
GRE：一般來說理論性較強(qiáng)的專業(yè)要求GRE，像音樂教育。器樂類的專業(yè)大部分學(xué)校不要求GRE，更看重的是表演能力。
GPA：GPA優(yōu)秀也是競爭好學(xué)校的必要條件。一般要求3.0以上。好的GPA對于申請綜合類大學(xué)的音樂學(xué)院很有優(yōu)勢。
